About Eva
I’m glad you’re here! I’m Eva, an independent artist, singer, songwriter, Recording Academy voting member, and vocal coach. I believe courage and faithfulness precede all things worth doing and being. I also believe music is a sacred art form we are to care for and navigate the music industry with wisdom and faithfulness. These are guiding beliefs of my music and work.
I create music and spaces that cultivate the courage and faithfulness to face our sorrows and embrace our joys. My music resonates with those who need or desire deeper faith or courage. My sound is inspired by CCM/worship, gospel, cinematic scores, R&B, soul, jazz, and funk.
I’m originally from State College, PA and now am based in the DMV, where I really got started in making music and building relationships in music. My journey into making music began with a prayer during a difficult and dark season that turned into a melody. Ever since, I’ve been captivated by the process of turning what’s on our heart into something we can meaningfully sing to connect with God, others, and ourselves.
I’m also Assistant Chair for the Women in Music DC Chapter, co-founder of Fam Jam, and founder of Evoca Studios - all have been initiatives and opportunities that stemmed from my artistry.
I’m currently working on an album that I’ve finished writing, called, Sorrowful Yet Always Rejoicing, rooted in my larger mission as an artist: to make music that helps us face our pain and sorrow, and embrace joy and love.
